Primer – I’ve been using the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer lately. I really like the consistency, and it does seem to hold makeup in place pretty well.
Foundation – This Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup has been my go-to for the past few months. It surprised me the first time I used it. It goes on well, and has good coverage.
Under Eye Concealer – I’ve talked about this concealer before, so this isn’t anything new. I still love this Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser for my under eye area.
Concealer – The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is perfect for the face. I think it covers just as well as higher end products, and WAY more affordable.
Blush – I keep reaching for this NYX Cosmetics Cream Blush. I feel like I have more control with the cream product, and it’s easy to build. I use the color “Tea Rose” and find that it is the perfect pink for me.
Eyelid Primer – I have not tried this E.L.F. Eyelid Primer; however, I’ve heard some good things about it and it has good reviews. I will give it a go and see how it compares to my current favorite!
Eye Shadow – I’ve used pretty much all of the drug store brands in the eye shadow department. I always go back to the Revlon ColorStay line. In my opinion, it has the ‘creamiest’ consistency of the drug store brands, and I find that the pigmentation is a little better than others.
Eye Liner – For a basic pencil, my favorite is the L’Oreal Colour Riche. I recently posted about eye liner types (read more here), and this is currently my most used liner. This is one of those products that I really don’t see the point in spending a lot – it’s a pencil. How different can they be?
Mascara – I have literally tried just about every drug store brand of mascara, and the Maybelline Voluminous Butterfly Mascara has become my new drug store favorite. I love the brush – it makes it so easy to get every lash.
Brow Gel – To set brows, I have used the Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara for several years. I will say, recently I started using a higher end product and it actually is better (dang it) than the clear mascara. Regardless, this is still a great alternative and I would definitely repurchase if I wanted a less expensive option.
Any of these products are pretty easy to find at Ulta, Target, or any drug store. Because of that, I think it makes them even more appealing! I’ve been out of town a couple times and have been able to find just what I needed without much effort. Love that!
