After my first official palette purchase (here) I was kind of hooked on the concept. For some reason, in the past, I’ve always bought individual eye shadows…who knows why. I think the idea of “mixing” and “creating” my own collection was appealing. That’s just how weird I can really be! Anyway…
The Lorac eye shadow line has always been at the top of my list. When the Unzipped Palette first came out, I was in love with the soft pinky browns. I felt like it added warmth but was still neutral enough to be worn daily.
Now that it’s been out a while, I caved. I bought it.
Isn’t it pretty? I love that there is only ONE highlight color. Some palettes have several light colors, but I don’t ever use them. Unzipped has a great mix of light to dark, so it’s easy to create several different looks. There are 10 colors, 6 have more shimmer while 4 are matte. That’s my only complaint – I like more matte shadows.
The consistency of the shadow is a little more powdery than others I have, but the color payoff is great! I’ve had no issues blending or getting the shadow to apply evenly.
Bonus – it comes with a little sample of the Behind The Scenes Eye Primer.
Have you tried this palette or other Lorac palettes? If so, let me know what you think! This is my first purchase from their line so I’m curious about their other products.
