When you enter our home, you’ll notice a couple things. Dogs will greet you. One barking, the other jumping with excitement and trying to lick you to death. You can throw your jacket on a hook. Wipe your feet. But what I really like at Christmas is that you can see both trees as soon as you step inside our front door!
I doubled over our garland for the staircase too. Adding extra picks of faux juniper, magnolia, and pine transformed this garland.
Notice Bailee on the landing? She likes to look out the window (and bark).
Our wooden nativity is on display front and center. It usually ends up in our dining room on the buffet, but I like that you see it as soon as you enter our home. It sets the tone for the season, don’t you think?
I’ve really enjoyed these small flocked trees and miniature cedar trees this year! I always tend to group smaller items together for dimension. This year I layered the green trees with red berries and glass cake stands for height.
Our entry also has this wooden chest that belonged to my great aunt. It was a darker cherry stain, but I painted it a few weeks ago. I love how much brighter it looks, but with the waxed finish it still has the character of an antique. More on that soon!
