This year’s Christmas decor stays true to my reoccurring theme – red, green, and a little blue thrown into the mix. I did play up the plaid with my pillow covers, and did an a-symmetrical garland (who am I???) which I LOVE.
The tree is the same as last year with all red ornaments, berries, and both plaid and burlap ribbon.
This year’s pillow covers (linked: one, two, and three) are some of my favorites. Anything plaid just says Christmas to me…so I may have gone a little plaid crazy between the pillows, ribbon, and throw!
The garland (similar here) is a combination of two mixed-green garlands. Adding them together seems more proportionate to our fireplace. The faux magnolia leaves are hands down my favorite thing to use in Christmas and winter decor. This could also be done by adding fresh greenery to a faux garland!
Little trees and simple greenery are scattered across the mantel. Truthfully, you’ll see miniature trees everywhere you look.
What I love most about this year’s decor is that I can remove all of the red accents, and with minimal changes it will transition into a wintery look. I’m thinking mercury glass, mixed metals, and lots of greenery (and twinkling lights)!
